There is something deeply comforting about walking into the kitchen and smelling pulled pork cooking away. Everyone starts hovering long before dinner is ready, asking whether they can “just try a little.”
This version keeps things deliberately simple. Pork shoulder, a short list of seasonings and enough liquid to keep everything tender. No sugary bottled sauce and no complicated preparation.
The secret is keeping it simple.
Pork shoulder already has the richness needed for slow cooking. A restrained seasoning mix adds flavor without competing with it, while chicken broth and apple cider vinegar keep the finished pork juicy and balanced.
Serve it in lettuce cups, over cauliflower mash, beside roasted vegetables or as the protein in a simple lunch bowl.

Cook once. Make several meals easier.
Divide leftovers into meal-size portions with a spoonful of the cooking juices. Refrigerate what you will eat over the next few days and freeze the rest. Reheat gently so the pork stays moist.
